Point Deroche is a small community, still unincorporated, belonging to Queens County. Point Deroche is positioned on the north eastern shores of Prince Edward Island, along Point Deroche Road (Highway 218). It is believed that Point Deroche was first settled in the late 1700s, after a ship carrying hundreds of English settlers reached the shoreline here. Agriculture is a key industry in Point Deroche. As well, Point Deroche is a short 31.5 km (19.6 mi.) drive northeast of Charlottetown.

Point Deroche is minutes from the eastern portion of the Prince Edward Island National Park, which makes Point Deroche a prime base for visitors to the province. Point Deroche is also home to a long stretch of beautiful beaches, consisting of white sand, swimmable waters and magnificent views of the vast ocean and shoreline. Enjoy watching seabirds, canoeing, kayaking, fine-dining, watching the glorious sunsets over the ocean water, snorkelling, beachcombing, fishing, windsurfing and much more. As well, visit the Point Deroche Pond, the nearby lake and the beautiful nearby hiking trails.
