Tyne Valley is a small village situated in Prince County, in the north western region of Prince Edward Island. Tyne Valley was known as The Landing in 1765, due in large part to lumber floating up Trout River to the community from other riverside towns. Later on, in 1868, the title of Tyne Valley was incorporated, named in honour of River Tyne, which is in England. Tyne Valley was also a successful shipbuilding community in the 1800s. Today, agriculture is the most profitable industry here. The town of Summerside is a total driving distance of 34.2 km (21.3 mi.) southeast of Tyne Valley.

Tyne Valley is home to the Shipbuilding Museum and Historic Yeo House, which delves into the shipbuilding industry here via an interpretive centre, a gift shop, a replicated version of a shipyard and the former residence of James Yeo Jr., a successful shipbuilder during the bustling years of this now decrepit industry. The Green Park Provincial Park is where the formerly active shipyard existed, offering walking trails and activities for both children and adults. Tyne Valley also offers fine-dining, and is just minutes from the Shellfish Museum.

Tyne Valley accommodations include campgrounds, cottages and bed and breakfasts.
