Miscouche is positioned to the east of Summerside, next to the Summerside Airport on the eastern half of Prince Edward Island. Miscouche is a small village that was officially incorporated in 1957. Miscouche was also founded in the early 1700s. The name of Miscouche was implemented originally by the Mi'kmaq, which translates in English to "little grassy island."  As well, Miscouche consists of more Acadian residents than any other race.  Miscouche is just a short drive from Summerside, 8.9 km (5 mi.) northwest.

Miscouche is the proud home of the Acadian Museum, which includes a vast amount of knowledge regarding the history of the Acadians in the Miscouche region. The museum features audio and visual presentations, information on genealogical research and so much more. While in Miscouche, such activities as golfing, swimming at the beach, fishing, biking and hiking are all available. Miscouche consists of beautiful heritage buildings and great views of the land and the water. Summerside is considered one of Prince Edward Islands best tourism destinations as well, which makes Miscouche a convenient getaway.
