Gaspereaux is a small community positioned on the south eastern shoreline of Prince Edward Island. As well, Gaspereaux belongs to Kings County and is an unincorporated community. Three different boats traveling from Britain arrived with immigrants at the shores of Gaspereaux in the late 1700s. The name of Gaspereaux comes from a fish that inhabits the waters around the community. The largest industry in Gaspereaux is fishing, as a processing plant resides here. Gaspereaux is 65.2 km (40.5 mi.) southeast of Charlottetown.

Gaspereaux is an excellent place to go fishing, mountain biking, hiking and exploring the wilderness. Gaspereaux is the gateway to Panmure Island, which is also a beautiful, seaside hideaway, especially in the summer months. Gaspereaux also consists of a harbour, a wharf and excellent shoreline locations for watching the early morning sunrise. Gaspereaux is home to heritages buildings, nearby beaches and tones of small town hospitality and privacy.
