Winsloe is a small community that can be found just to the west of the Charlottetown Airport. As well, Winsloe is a part of Prince County. The town is named after an 18th century settler, John Hodges Winsloe, the land owner of most of the land that is now Winsloe. In 1872, the community of Winsloe became a part of the Prince Edward Island Railway, as the tracks passed through Winsloe between Charlottetown and Summerside. Farming is the main industry in Winsloe. Charlottetown is 7.6 km (4.7 mi.) southeast of Winsloe.

Winsloe is home is two beautiful parks, the Medowview Park and the Highfield Park, both of which are excellent locations for the whole family. The D Major Fabric Arts Studio and Crafts shop consists of a plethora of various items, as well as locally designed crafts made with pride. Of course, due to its location, Winsloe is a great base for anyone looking to tour the province, spend time in Charlottetown, or visit any one of the other nearby communities and attractions.
