O'Leary is a small community that can be found in Prince County on the western corner of Prince Edward Island. O'Leary was named after Michael O'Leary, an Irish settler who came to the land in 1837, later developing the O'Leary Road, which is the main highway to O'Leary. O'Leary profited from the development of the Prince County rail system that was built over a century ago, as mills and factories would soon be developed in response to the new railway. Today, the main industries in O'Leary are agriculture, namely the potato industry, and retail and manufacturing industries. O'Leary is a total driving distance of 58.8 km (36.5 mi.) northwest of Summerside.

O'Leary is home to Heritage Lane, which features an old chapel, a log house, a schoolhouse, the first telephone office in O'Leary and plenty more. As well, visit the potato museum, which is another informative, interesting experience delving into the history of the local industry. The Mill River Provincial Park features wagon rides, walking trails, a fun park, a golf course, a playground and an activity centre. O'Leary is proud to display its giant potato as well. Of course, O'Leary is also a great place to get a spa, fine-dine, shop, tour and take in the beautiful scenery.

O'Leary accommodations include motels, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds and resorts.
