New Glasgow is an unincorporated community, situated centrally, near the northern shores of Prince Edward Island, just south of the Prince Edward Island National Park. New Glasgow is a member of the County of Queens, along Hunter River. Not surprisingly, New Glasgow was first settled by the Scottish, who arrived here in the early 1800s and aptly titled the community New Glasgow in honour of their home of Glasgow, Scotland. New Glasgow is only 29.6 km (18.4 mi.) northwest of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island's capital city.

New Glasgow is situated in the perfect spot, close to all the best communities and attractions, such as North Rustico, Cavendish and Charlottetown. New Glasgow is home to the Hon. David Laird Monument, founder of a local newspaper and Lieutenant Governor of the Northwest Territories. New Glasgow is the home of beautiful gardens, art galleries, a tea room, walking trails, golf courses, laser tag and paint ball, various tours, delicious local sea-food restaurants, shopping and so much more.

New Glasgow accommodations include beautiful bed and breakfasts, cottages and inns.
