The small community of Clinton is positioned on Lot 20 of Prince Edward Island, centrally located on the island.  Clinton, an unincorporated community, was founded in the early 1800s, and is a member of Queens County.  As well, Clinton was initially known as Kerrytown, which was later changed.  Irish settlers were the first to settle in Clinton and were known then are Kerrymen, hence the town title.  Clinton is 22.2 km (13.8 mi.) northeast of Summerside, a bustling tourism community along the southern shores of Prince Edward Island.
 
Clinton is home to the Blue Winds Tea Room, which offers various foods and teas.  Enjoy shopping for antique items at a local antique gallery.  Clinton is close to many glorious sandy beaches, the Cavendish National Park, first class golf courses, excellent local seafood restaurants and nearby villages.  Clinton offers easy access to the ocean, where canoeing and kayaking are made available, as well as swimming, building sand castles, beachcombing and simply relaxing in the sun until it dips under the horizon, offering a breath-taking sunset.
