Chelton is a small community, still unincorporated, that belongs to Prince County. As well, Chelton is situated centrally, along the southern shores of Prince Edward Island, just minutes from the Confederation Bridge. Chelton is on the northern shores of the Northumberland Strait. It is believed that Chelton was settled sometime in the 1700s. As well, Chelton is 18.8 km (11.7 mi.) southeast of Summerside along Highway 1A.

Chelton is home to Prince Edward Island's only dune beach at the Chelton Beach Provincial Park, where visitors can experience a beautiful coastline, a park, swimming in the ocean and picnicking. Be sure to experience the breath-taking sunsets that fall under the ocean horizon. As well, Chelton also includes nearby hiking trails, bicycling, golfing, shopping, fine-dining, kayaking, swimming and so many other nearby communities also full of unique history and attractions.
